stimulant with no narcotic effects. It is used for atony (lazy or lax)
intestines and stomach. For the alcoholic, it is useful possibly,
because it reduces dilated blood vessels and thus relieves chronic
congestion. I have used it often in my formulas to act as a catalyst for
the other herbs, as in the Joy Formula. If you sprinkle it in your socks
when skiing it will help to keep your feet warm. It is excellent for
sluggish circulation and often effective in arresting bleeding.
