This herb is also called the herb of grace, and
has uses in upward of 30 complaints. It is said
to be useful in intermittent fevers, ulcers,
opthalmia, pleurisy and breast milk production
(galactagogue). Due to its many other virtues,
I prefer its nervine, soothing qualities to that of Valerian Root. We
use it primarily as a relaxant for stressful situations during the day,
as well as a sleep aid at night. It works well together with Cramp
Bark for pre-audition nerves, or at night with the MNF formula to
aid a deeper sleep.
